Bands Atrium Carceri ~ One man ambient project on Cold Meat Industries. A momentous influence on Reclusiam's ambient sections. Darkened Soul ~ Ambient project of Mike Soucy. His work was a major influence on Reclusiam. diSEMBOWELMENT ~ Sadly disbanded, this Australian quartet was one of the most unique metal bands of all time. Mixing ambient, grind, and funeral doom, their sound is beyond compare. Divine Silence ~ Doom/Death out of NYC with haunting melodies and crushing arrangements. Their "Tranquil Sorrows" demo is one of the most memorable doom albums I have heard. Evoken ~ This band kills. Doom or be Doomed. That's all you need to know. Shape of Despair ~ Finnish Funeral Doom. Next to Skepticism, the most prominent influence on Reclusiam's music. "Angels of Distress" is one of the last great doom metal albums. Skepticism ~ Finnish Funeral Doom. "Stormcrowfleet" was an undeniable influence on Reclusiam. Morose music with intelligent lyrics. Not to be missed. Thergothon ~ Niko Skorpio's site. The wellspring from which all Funeral Doom flows. This early '90s Finnish band has influenced all who worship before them. |
Others Laurie Ann Haus ~ An incredibly talented vocalist along the lines of Lisa Gerrard and Judy Chiara, Laurie contributed spoken word to "Litanies of Rust and Decay" on the CD. Morningrise.net ~ Web space of Nathan Eldridge, who did graphic design for the CD release in 2004. Nathan also designed the Reclusiam logo. The Recording Zone ~ Studio in which the Reclusiam CD was recorded, mixed, and mastered. Jhon Ackerman also contributed to the album with superbly arranged, snail-slow drums.
